Made from a natural starch-based polymer and accredited to AS4736-2006, these compostable bin liners are suitable for either home or industrial composting.

- Suitable for food scraps, used paper towels and other organic or biodegradable waste.
- Not suitable for recycling or worm farms.
- Will not biodegrade in Australian landfill.

Made from certified compostable bioplastics, these compostable bin liners safely turn into healthy compost in just 12 weeks in an industrial composter or a little longer in your garden.
The bags ultimately turn into carbon dioxide, water, and non-toxic raw materials.
They can be buried in the garden, put in your own compost bin - and may also be discarded within domestic food-waste bins, collected by industrial composting services and some councils.

Compostable bin liners are “shelf stable”, just like paper plates or paper towels. They will not decompose until they are introduced to the earth’s elements or micro-organisms in the soil. Store in a dry, cool area.

Bright green colour is easily differentiated from traditional plastic bags and non-certificated bin liners which cause contamination.

Note: The 8 Litre size bin liner fits our 7 Litre Kitchen Compost Bin.

ECO TIP
The goal is to help divert all naturally biodegradable waste (such as food waste, garden waste, pet waste and paper waste) from entering our landfills.
If any of these items are placed in an anaerobic (air-locked) landfill, their natural ability to biodegrade can be severely diminished.

THE BIN LINER DILEMMA
Plastics are a major pollutant in our environment and waterways. Traditional plastic bin liners take over 400 years to biodegrade.
Compostable bin liners biodegrade with your organic waste into healthy compost in just 12 weeks in an industrial composter, or a little longer in your garden.
However, they require a warm, oxygen-rich environment to break down.
So, they will not biodegrade in Australian landfill.
There is a lot of debate about what bin liners are best for the dry, oxygen-deprived anaerobic conditions in Australian landfills.
